Court

The city of Macedonia Mayor’s Court processes misdemeanor citations issued by the Macedonia Police Department. These citations can be traffic or criminal offenses. The Macedonia Court works with the Stow Municipal Court when cases are transferred. Mayor’s Court does not hear juvenile cases. Cases in which a defendant is under 18 years of age are transferred to the Juvenile Court in Akron.

The Macedonia Mayor's Court meets every Thursday at 1p.m., unless court is cancelled for a specific purpose. If you have a question regarding a court date, please call 330-468-8380. If you are issued a citation and are required to appear in Mayor's Court, it should appear on the top of the citation. If the citation is marked personal appearance not required, you may pay the citation, amount due based on the waiver schedule, prior to your court date. Acceptable forms of payment are cash (in person) or mailing a check or money order. We also accept all forms of credit card payments in person or online. All credit card payments subject to a 3.5% service fee (all charges processed as credit) with a minimum fee of $0.50 - Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Closed from noon to 1 p.m. for lunch).

Court Services Personnel

The Clerk of Court and Deputy Clerk of Court administers all court operations and coordinates court issues between the Police, the Prosecutors and the Court on behalf of the Mayor.

Handles all court documents and money paid to the Court for fines and costs. The Clerk processes all warrants, summons, subpoenas, notices, continuances, and motions. The Clerk also notifies the Bureau of Motor Vehicles of all convictions, points and suspensions.
